Large size envelopes

Standard size of printing envelope a 9.5x4.5 inch which is also referred as cheque size. These can easily carry tri folded a4 size paper. If you requirement is to carry a4 size paper or other documents without folding them then you have to go with a4 size envelope with size 9x12 inch, 9 inch being width and 12 inch being height of the envelope. To get more additional space you can even print them on 10x12 inch size.

Different paper and printing options

Standard paper is 100 gsm alabaster paper which is expensive than comparable thickness copier paper. Some time royal executive bond paper is also used for printing envelope. Printing can be single color, two color screen printing or multi color printing using offset printing or digital printing.

Usage of the envelope

These envelope are mainly used to carry documents, they are also used as carry envelope for flyers. Important communication letter about your brand travels from these envelope, so you should pay required attention to the design and print of them.

Corporate companies use them at company level where bulk quantity is printed and later on for individual printing of branch office, outlets etc screen printing is used. This keep cost also under check as individual printing for each outlet or branch office can be expensive.

Designing 9x12 size envelope

9x12 inch envelope size should be 9x12 inches with 1 inch corresponding to 2.54 cm i.e. 22.86 cm width and 30.48 comes height. Size in mm will be 229 mm width and 305 mm height. You can design in any adobe illustrator, corel draw, pdf, adobe photoshop. If you are not comfortable with these softwares, than you can also design in MS Word. Alternatively, you can also hire a graphic designing agency.

Designing 10x12 size envelope

10x12 inch envelope size should be 10x12 inches with 1 inch corresponding to 2.54 cm i.e. 25.40 cm width and 30.48 comes height. Size in mm will be 254 mm width and 305 mm height.

Designing window envelope

While designing a window envelope, care should be taken that there should be no important design elements near the window. Also avoid using any pattern near the window, as multi color offset printing envelope making is done after printing and it can result into non matching design.
