Different size of flyers

Flyers are also known as pamphlet printing. These are one of the frequently and widely used BTL (Below the line) campaign strategy. Not only cost effective they can reach out to target audience more accurately and precisely than other media like TV commercials, outdoor displays etc.

Pamphlet size can vary as per your design creative requirement.

Standard sizes of unfolded flyers:

• A7 Size - A7 size is the smallest size in which we are printing them which is 74 x 105 mm/2.9 x 4.1 inches
• A6 Size - double of the A7 size, if you fold the A6 it become A7 size 105 x 148 mm/4.1 x 5.8 inches
• A5 Size - double of the A6 size, if you fold the A5 it become A6 size 148 x 210 mm/5.8 x 8.3 inches
• A4 Size - double of the A5 size, if you fold the A4 it become A5 size 210 x 297 mm/8.3 x 11.7 inches
• A3 Size - double of the A4 size, if you fold the A3 it become A4 size 297 x 420 mm/11.7 x 16.53 inches

Flyer sizes in different units

Designers are not always good in mathematics they often get confused when they are asked about changing the size from one unit to another. Different online companies may ask you to upload your design in specific sizes which may vary slightly. Standard size convertor are embedded in almost all design software.

You can check for corresponding sizes in mm, cm or inches or pixels in CDR,AI etc. Pixels measurement will depend upon design DPI. If design is in 300 DPI, A4 size then in pixel it will be 8.3x300 = 2490 px width and 11.7x3 = 3510 px height.

Custom size printing

Many customers also wonder why can't they get their flyers printed in custom size. Their is no one stop you from printing them in any size you wish. Only thing is that it can result into paper wastage thereby increasing the cost. As paper comes in standard size only any custom size which is not a multiple and don't fit well in any paper size will need to be separately cut to size.

This 8x9 inch won't fit in A3 size 11.69x16.54, here also you will get 2 copies only. Apart from paper even offset and digital printing machines are also made to print in standard size only. You will have to adjust the tray size, bleed area, gripper etc.

Resolution for best print quality

Apart from size requirement you will have to also consider the resolution of images you have used in the design. Wherever possible try to use text, avoid using images as text. Images should be in minimum 300 DPI. Design color profile should be in CMYK mode with no pantone or registration color.

International flyer printing sizes

International sizes apart from A series are B Series and C Series paper. In India paper is available in standard A size series. We at Whizz Prints can print your flyer in custom size and series paper as well which is imported paper.
