Irregular business card size

Visiting cards in India are mainly available in rectangular shape, there are normally two sizes one being 88x48 mm and another larger size 92 x 54 mm. These are final cut size off visiting card. There is no standard size of business cards where sizes may vary from country to country. American business card sizes are different from that in UK and other European countries.

As business cards, are printed in bigger sheets of paper and then cut mainly all printers printing the cards through offset printing will offer single size ordering of business cards. As this will automate the cutting process and will save what time and money

Size of square shape cards

As square shape cards, is customized order, therefore there is no standard size. We can print these cards in any size as per the customer requirement. But generally the sizes used are 48x48, 50x50, 45x45 and 54 X 54 mm.

In the last 2 years, at whizz prints; we have witnessed steady growth in square shape cards order. As far as the designing of square shaped cards goes, size should be kept in such a way that it fits in business cards folder. If the size is kept too big, than it may not fit in any business card holder as the folders are of standard business card size.

Type of cutting employed

Unlike, majority of digital printers who used cutter for cutting business cards, We at Whizz Prints use computerized automated Polar cutting machine. This ensures that your business cards are smoothly cut and have same finish as that off regular business card. Design file needs to be provided in exact print size with proper bleed area and cut marks. Important text & matter should be kept at least 5 mm from all borders.

Lamination UV embossing engraving

We can laminate square shaped cards as well. You can select either gloss or Matt lamination for business cards. Gloss lamination has a shiny finish whereas in Matt lamination it is subtle and not visible and is advised for corporate enterprises.

Laminating the business cards, protect the card surface from daily wear and tear, as well as provide a smooth finish to the cards & make them thicker. UV, embossing and engraving we will require higher quantities as these are separate processes and all of them will be at an extra cost.

Designing square shape cards

You are free to choose any designing software like Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw, EPS etc for designing you cards. If you are not a designer or not familiar with any of these software then you can also design your own cards am Microsoft Word or paint or even Power Point. All designing instructions for regular shaped cards will apply for square cards as well. You have to maintain at least 300dpi for all images gender used in designing business cards.

MOQ, timeline and how to place order

We accept order starting from 100 cards. Higher the quantity lower will be unit cost. As it is customized order, it will take more time printing than regular business cards and will even cost more.
